We are now in the Hebrew month of Elul, the last month of the Jewish civil calendar. This is a month when we prepare spiritually and culturally for the year that is about to begin. At JILLI, we hope you will join us in growing spiritually and in Jewish learning. These are our educational experiences for the next year:
Tuesdays, September 6, 13, 20, 7:00 pm: Spiritual Preparation for the Days of Awe
We will gather online to chant, focus on our process of Teshuvah (returning to God and to the beauty of our souls), and discover the deeper meaning of the special prayers and liturgical poems of the High Holidays.

Classes and Opportunities for Learning in 5783
Tuesdays with JILLI: Beginning November 1, every Tuesday we will gather at 7:00 pm.
- The first Tuesday of each month we will discuss a short story.
- The second Tuesday of each month we will discuss a movie.
- The third Tuesday of each month we will have a prayer salon to discuss the meaning of prayers.
- The fourth Tuesday of each month we will discuss mussar texts—a Jewish spiritual practice for living an ethical life.

Thursdays with JILLI: Every Thursday, beginning October 27, we will gather in the morning or evening.
- Book of Kings I: The first and third Thursdays each month join us at 11:30 am.

- Kabbalah and Jewish Mysticism: Every Thursday each month from 6:00 to 7:00 pm we will deepen our relationship with our faith through Mystical teachings and prepare for Shabbat.

Mondays with JILLI: Every Monday afternoon, beginning October 24 until March 27.
- Talmud: Monday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm join Rabbi Bass to study Massechet Yomah, and prepare for Siyum Bekhorot, ending this tractate of the Talmud on the eve of Passover, at 7:00 am on April 5.
