1) Book of Samuel I
On August 6, we will start a new book in the Prophets, the Book of Samuel I. Join us for a close reading of the text, with lots of room for questions and debate. No knowledge of Hebrew necessary. Have a copy of the Hebrew Bible, or just the Book of Samuel I. Any translation is fine. We meet every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.
Suggested donation: $180.00 (includes all classes needed to study Samuel I)
2) Spiritual Preparation During the Hebrew Month of Elul
This new year of 5781 will start amid a pandemic, with a very different feeling, and the impossibility of large communal gatherings. In the four Tuesdays of the month of Elul we will gather for learning and for discussion of texts preparing us spiritually for the new year. Join us from 8:00 to 9:30 pm. You do not have to join us for every class.

3) Conversational Hebrew
Join us every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm to develop your modern conversational Hebrew. We will explore the language by having structured dialogues and by reading newspaper articles, poetry, and short stories.
Suggested donation: $180.00 per semester (the semester includes all classes from August 13 through December 10)
